Korean War Corsair Ace: Guy Bordelon:

The United States Navy's only ace to come out of the Korean conflict was a pilot with VC-3 by the name of Guy P. Bordelon. Bordelon flew the Vought F4U-5N Corsair, the ultimate nightfighter version of the famous F4U-5 Corsair. Bordelon was also the only ace of the war to only fly piston engined aircraft. The Corsair that Lt. Bordelon flew was an F4U-5N (BuNo 124453) named Annie-Mo. Bordelon and VC-3 flew off of the USS Princeton (CV-37). Bordelon's fifth and final kill came on the evening of July 16, 1953. The aircraft shot down credited to Bordelon were three Lavochkin La-9s or La-11s and two Yak-18s.
