Pilot - 2nd Lt George Welch. Haleiwa air base, Hawaii. On 7th December 1941. Welch, together with Lt Kenneth Taylor, were the lone defenders of Pearl Harbour during the Japanese raid on 7 December 1941 who claimed 2 and 4 Japanese aircraft correspondingly.
